SCOTLAND’S 2011 KURRY KING OR QUEEN CONTEST Kismot Family run Restaurant had hosted Scotland’s first ever curry eating contest which will involved enduring three generations of the famous Kismot Killer! (as seen on TV). This is not a contest to see who can eat the most, but a test of endurance against a top secret nuclear strength recipe using some of the worlds hottest chillies.

We held this event to raise money for Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS). “As a family run Scottish business we feel it is an important charity which is why ALL proceeds on the day will be donated to CHAS”,

The whole team would like to say a huge thanks to everyone who participated in previous events and to everyone who very kindly donated to the event in these hard economic times, it is very much appreciated by all of us!

Due to the heat of the curry and the chillis that got used, two of the contestant’s who underestimated the strength of the curry were unfortunately taken to hospital shortly after the event. We did have the British Red Cross on hand at the event, however they unfortunately could not cope with their condition and took the desicion to call for medical back up. Both contestants are still alive, fit and well and now back to their normal selves! From now on we are now carrying out background checks and face to face interviews to make sure the contestants are fully fit to handle our extreme curry!
